  7. While reading the list, I have come to one definite conclusion.  We need
  8. to vote on the various proposals before the list degenerates into endless
  9. arguing.

  11. Thus, here is my proposition (and nomination for Ofir Gal to implement it):

  13. The various proposals should be gathered into one message that is sent
  14. to the list.  Everyone votes; all decisions are final.  The majority
  15. rules.
  16.  
  17. Whatever is done, I feel that it is important to do it quickly.  I've
  18. got THIRTY messages in my mail box just talking about the ^A problem,
  19. a bunch arguing about what should be done for "Find Previous/Replace
  20. Previous", a few talking about how window cycling should be implemented,
  21. and quite a few discussing how to centralize keyboard shortcut
  22. changing (though this last discussion seems to be quite productive).
